Primates
Home
Here are some links to the primates our closest relatives.
The chimpanzees including the bonobo the most inteligent of them all. There are links to the gorillas both the highland gorilla and the lowland gorilla. The orangutan, baboons and others. The first sites below are on communication with the apes. Yes some people have been talking with chimpanzees and gorillas using sign language. And some of the apes have been using computers to communicate with humans.

Orangutans
The orangutans would also like you to know a little of their plight. Everyday the mothers are being killed and the babies are being taken to be sold into the pet trade to people who know nothing about the animals. Many of these baby orangutans grow up a sad and lonely existance away from their mothers and when they grow their owners can do nothing with such a large and powerful animal. Their numbers are getting very low and they'd like a bit of their forest to be saved instead of having it all logged for a few people to get rich at their expense. Some people care nothing about these creatures others care a lot.
